QUALIFICATIONS

Introducing a new person to a child who’s at risk is something we take very seriously – so we ask a lot of our mentors. Here’s what you can expect.

• Must be able to commit to meeting with your mentee in person once per month and via

• Skype/FaceTime/social media twice per week.

• Must be willing to call and text your mentee throughout the week as needed.

• Must be able to undergo training to learn how best to interact with your mentee, what topics to

cover, and how to best help your mentee.

• Must have safe and reliable transportation to visit with your mentee.

• Must pass a background check.

• Must complete an interview with The Village board.
